The Lazy Weekend Face.

Let's just say I'm the lazier of lazy people, and my laziness is visible also in my makeup routine. On the other hand this weekend I wasn't up to anything too fancy, just a nice afternoon with ice cream and a pizza for dinner, so I went for an easy look that saw the eyeliner return in all it's glory and my loyalty towards my new favorite pink lipstick. I'm probably the most boring person when it comes to makeup, however I'm testing out some new gems I've just recently picked up and I wanted to show you my thoughts. Plus one of my new year's resolutions was to post more makeup looks on here, so here we are.

I've just shown you my most recent base purchase in my London Beauty Haul Part 1, the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream (£9,99), and I said I'm not that impressed right now, however it makes a good daily base offering since it's very comfortable and lightweight, perfect for those lazy weekends of mine. It's a color correcting base containing different color pigments to conceal fatigue signs that the past week has left behind on your face, and redness and spots. I would say it gives a nice pump up to your face, but to me it's not that great in covering spots as well. However I can't say I don't like it at all, but I have that strange feeling like when you had such great expectation on a super hyped product but it revealed just ok on you. To cover my big bad dark circles and nasty eczema under my eyes, as well as an amazing hydrating skincare routine, I applied my usual Neve Cosmetics Yellow Mineral Corrector (11,61€), which really helps waking up my eyes covering all the darkness, but being very natural and lightweight at the same time. With the nasty eye eczema I'm suffering of, I hate applying creamy concealer a on top of that, so my NARS lover is totally banned from my face now; even though the Neve Cosmetics offering is not that long lasting, it makes a great alternative if you don't like to part with coverage on your under eye area, while still avoiding creasing or bad reactions. To complete my base I finally decided to be brave and throw on some Soap and Glory Glow All Out (£11) lightly dusted all over my face. This cheekbones highlighter doubles up to a great all over highlighting face powder, and even though I was a bit sceptical about that (mainly because of it's peachy base color) it shows its best if applied that way. It doesn't darken up my base but really enhance it and create a glowy complexion.

For eyes I went pretty minimal as always, but instead of just going with a coat of mascara and give up, I'm actually enjoying a bit of eyeliner lately (and you can definitely expect a post on that next) as I finally found a decent brush to apply my beloved Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Intense Black (£6,79), which is great if you want a very black and long wearing eye definition. Eyeliner is a bit of a trick for me, but I'm managing to understand what's the best shape for my eyes, so yes, it's time to rock some black eyeliner again on those always bare eyelids of mine. To make it even more long wearing I just applied a thin coat of Kiko Eye Base Primer (£6,90) underneath: to me this Kiko offering is always been a great dupe for the more expensive and popular UD Primer Potion, it has a nice consistency to be blended over the lids without creating bad looking color patches, plus it never creases and makes your eye makeup last a really long time. To complete the eyes I couldn't forget my new L'Oreal Telescopic False Lash Effect in Waterproof Black (£10,99), which gives a nice definition and really separates your lashes while still blackening them as no other. It's waterproof that means it holds the curl really well and last an amazing amount of time as well.

As for lips and blush I went for my favorite duo of the moment, the Paul & Joe Pret-a-Porter Lipstick (£12,50) and the Bourjois Cream Blush in 02 Healthy Glow (£7,30). These two makes a great couple as they are very similar in color and that peachy pink makes my complexion really stand out and it's great for my face to look healthier and more alive even if it's actually not (my skin is not having its best time lately due to the eczema issue and other nasty problems), plus that lipstick has the most comfortable formula ever.

So this was my weekend lazy face: they are almost all drugstore products, but I really enjoyed applying them and testing them this week. Have you tried any of them as well?
